This is a multi-chamber aluminum alloy precision CNC milled structural component, a typical RF/microwave filter cavity, mostly made of 6061-T6 or 7075 aviation aluminum, formed by a single five-axis CNC roughing and finishing process from a single aluminum billet.
Appearance features
Multiple independent resonant cavities: As shown in the figure, six independent closed cavities can be seen. Inside the cavities, there are densely distributed precision threaded holes, positioning through holes, and installation countersunk holes, which are used for assembling resonant columns, coupling probes, and cover plates.
Integral rib separation: The cavities are separated by thickened rib walls, which serve to achieve electromagnetic isolation and structural reinforcement. The central through rib is of a coupling window structure, controlling the coupling parameters of the radio frequency signal.
Outer edge installation reference: Large-diameter assembly through holes are distributed around the periphery, which are used for the fixation of the entire machine and the sealing and pressing of the cover plate. The side wall is engraved with the part number (the M3972G type material number can be seen in the picture), which is used for production traceability.
Surface condition: Milled original bright aluminum surface, without oxidation treatment, it is a semi-finished product. Subsequently, conductive anodizing/silver plating will be carried out to enhance the electromagnetic shielding performance.
